Pray for the Persecuted

Prayer Bulletin

Prayer changes things. This we know. But just how do we pray for the persecuted church?

  1. Sign up for Social Voice and commit to pray, write or share. Once you sign up you will receive weekly Prayer Bulletins detailing specific situations for prayer.
  2. Print or e-mail Prayer Bulletins. Give them out to your Bible study group, Sunday school class, gathering of Christian friends, or any place where you can share the burdens of the persecuted church. Ask your friends, family and local church to pray with you for the persecuted. See sample Prayer Bulletins: Color or B&W
  3. Use prayer resources from VOM including:
    • Persecuted Church Prayer Guide: This prayer guide offers specific Scripture verses for and about the persecuted. The Word of God is a powerful force of comfort for those who are arrested, imprisoned and tortured for Christ.
    • The Persecuted Church Global Report and Map: This annual report gives a listing of the countries around the globe that are hostile to or restrict the gospel. The global report includes descriptions about the religious persecution that occurs in each country listed. The map shows the country locations.
    • iCommitToPray: A place to gather and pray for the persecuted church. Read prayer requests from around the world and post your own prayers specifically for your brothers and sisters who are being persecuted.
    • Prayer App: This free iOS or Android application will help focus your prayer requests and remind you to pray each day.

Prayer is an invaluable gift we can give to our brothers and sisters who are suffering because of their faith in Jesus Christ. Thank you for your commitment to pray for the persecuted church.
